5 Adopt, Adapt or Develop

Using or developing OER could involve:

  • Adopting a OER for use in a class (using it “as is”)
  • Adapting a OER (taking an existing OER and customizing it for your own teaching)
  • Developing OER (make something new and put it in the commons)
